ARCHIVE

Founded in the early 1980s, the A.N.G.E.L.O. archive is a treasure housed in two buildings, once an orphanage in the first half of the twentieth century, separated by an enchanting internal garden.

This precious treasure chest contains over 120,000 items of clothing and accessories, a true journey through time that spans the late 19th century to the present day.

The A.N.G.E.L.O. archive is the destination of excellence for stylistic research

SCOPE

PRESERVING THE MEMORY

Our archive aims to preserve the memory of fashion, offering an extraordinary library of materials divided by product category for research, rental, and study.

FOR WHOM

WHO IS IT FOR?

Designers, style offices, stylists, researchers, students, and costume exhibition curators for stylistic research, photo shoots, and displays.

BUILDING A

FEMININE UNIVERSE

Spread across two floors, it is entirely dedicated to women. One section features designer pieces, while the other celebrates vintage clothing from the 1940s to the 2000s. The “Caveau” room houses authentic fashion gems, from elegant formal dresses to the most refined pieces from prestigious tailors dating back to the late 19th century. In the evocative setting of the former central church, you’ll find footwear, hats, leather goods, bags, belts, and small accessories.

BUILDING B

MALE UNIVERSE

Here, two floors are dedicated to men’s wear. The ground floor houses men’s footwear, athletic shoes, and denim spaces, while the first floor, in the former orphanage dormitory, features a vast selection of military, athletic, work, and formal wear.

SLAB

FROM THE 19TH TO THE 20TH CENTURY

On the top floor, the Solaio houses the most precious treasures that tell the story of fashion since the mid-19th century, with iconic pieces by famous couturiers and designers of the 20th century. The Solaio’s garments are reserved exclusively for exhibitions and displays.
